The stage is waiting, and there’s a place for every young performer at the SLT Academy! Directed by veteran teacher, theater educator, and musical director Jennifer Check, the SLT Academy provides exciting opportunities for students in grades 2–12 to explore their creativity, develop their talents, and experience the magic of live theatre. With two semesters of classes throughout the school year and a summer camp designed to explore a variety of performing arts, the SLT Academy offers something for every young artist, whether they are stepping onstage for the first time or building on years of performance experience.
The Christmas Semester brings the magic of the season to life with a festive main-stage performance following Warren’s Old-Fashioned Christmas Walk, allowing students to share their work with the community in a memorable holiday tradition.
The Spring Semester builds toward a full-scale theatrical production, allowing students to experience the excitement, collaboration, and hard work that go into bringing a show to life on the historic SLT stage.
Summer at SLT Academy is a time to explore! Through summer camp experiences, students can discover different areas of the performing arts, try new skills, unleash their imaginations, and grow as confident, creative artists. At SLT Academy, students learn more than how to perform. They build confidence, develop teamwork and communication skills, make lasting friendships, and discover the joy of creating something extraordinary together. Whether your child dreams of taking center stage, loves to sing and dance, or simply wants to try something new, the SLT Academy is the perfect place to begin their theatrical journey!
