Dixie Surewood
Dixie Surewood is a powerhouse drag entertainer based in Pittsburgh, known for her razor-sharp wit, campy charisma, and commanding stage presence. Crowned National Miss Comedy Queen 2018, Dixie has become a staple of the Steel City’s drag scene, earning the title of *Best Drag Performer* in 2023 and solidifying her reputation as “Pittsburgh’s Funny Girl.”
Originally from Buffalo, Dixie relocated to Pittsburgh in 2014 and quickly made her mark with a unique blend of theatricality, comedy, and live performance. With a background in theater, dance, and music, she brings a dynamic versatility to every stage—whether she’s belting a ballad, hosting a high-energy bingo, or delivering laugh-out-loud comedic numbers.
A seasoned performer both in and out of drag, Dixie has appeared in numerous stage productions and is celebrated for seamlessly blending Broadway flair with drag artistry. Her performances are equal parts polished and playful, often encouraging audiences to laugh along (and sometimes at) the spectacle unfolding before them. Chi Chi de Vivre has been captivating audiences across the greater Pittsburgh area for over seven years, earning a devoted following and the title of “Pittsburgh’s Spicy Siren.” Recognized by Pittsburgh City Paper (2024) and Pittsburgh Magazine (2025) as Best Drag Performer, she brings charisma, comedy, and powerhouse performance to every stage.
Beyond drag, Chi Chi has an active presence in Pittsburgh’s theatre community, collaborating with esteemed companies such as Pittsburgh CLO, Pittsburgh Public Theater, and City Theatre.
