Rooted in the River - Celebrating 20 Years on the Allegheny
Twenty years ago, we started with a couple of beat-up vans, some secondhand gear, and a garage full of big dreams. We didn't have much, but we had the river and forest, and that was enough.
Since then, we've packed vans and paddled alongside thousands of you – first-timers white-knuckling their paddles, families building traditions one summer at a time, and veteran boaters chasing the next bend for a week straight. We've watched kids who could barely reach the water become paddlers who now bring their kids down the same stretches of river. We've shared sunrises, sunburns, sudden thunderstorms, and the kind of peace that only 107 miles of moving water can give you.
Somewhere along the way, we stopped being just an outfitter. We became part of this community, and this community became part of us. Twenty years feels like a long time until you realize it's an awesome mashup of moments spent helping folks make a meaningful connection with nature, all strung together. Come out for the day, or stay for the weekend and do a little leaf-peeping. Either way, we hope you'll come celebrate these moments with us!
